  • 20% of Bolivia's land is under Indigenous Territory. 70% of that land is of Natural Forest Coverage.

  • We have an agreement with the Indigenous Communities to create socio-economic and educational opportunities through Sustainable Forest Management and Integrated Land Management.

Working with Private Farmers:

  • 95% of Deforestation is caused by Agriculture and Cattle Farming in Bolivia.

  • We have created an Integrated Value Chain system that provides high environmental and financial returns through combining agriculture and forestry operations, maximizing the use of our land, and changing farmer’s mindset on planting trees and managing their existing forests instead of using unauthorized land clearing for agriculture or cattle.

The best way to tackle deforestation due to Cattle Farms and Agriculture is to integrate both into Forestry, which is what we call Integrated Land Management. The concept is to take most advantage of available land to create a very productive and attractive financial returns in the short, medium and long term.

AGRICULTURE
Integrate with Tree Plantations

  • Tree plantations will protect the crop from the wind, fire, and cold temperatures, that otherwise would be a high risk value.

  • Tree plantations create a long term income to the farm when the trees are ready to be logged or harvested.

  • Leguminous agriculture provides nitrogen and nutrients for the tree plantations.

  • Planting trees among crops does not increase maintenance costs as the same care for agriculture will cover these costs.

CATTLE FARMS
Convert Traditional into Silvopastoral

  • Cattle generates a steady cashflow whilst the tree plantations are ready to be harvested or logged.

  • Cattle are also a great instrument to fertilize the soil and clear fire hazard waste.

  • The trees give cattle shade that will increase productivity as well as the productive trees providing nutritious food for the cattle.
