Amazon For Life, in collaboration with the Secretary of Sustainable Development and Environment, shared their vision of transforming traditional agricultural and livestock practices with a new approach that incorporates the reforestation of native trees to mitigate climate change.
In a historic meeting on September 12, 2023, at the Santa Cruz Environmental Education Center, Amazon for Life, an organization dedicated to sustainable reforestation investments, proposed an innovative project:
The planting of over 1,000,000 native trees in the department of Santa Cruz.
This collaborative effort, involving private enterprises, the Departmental Government, and civil society, aims to mitigate climate change and preserve Bolivia's biodiversity. Once an agreement is established, the results of this project will be presented at the 14th Annual Meeting of the GCF Task Force, a coalition of governors from around the world dedicated to the fight against climate change, marking a milestone in the quest for a greener and more sustainable world.
